Board Positions

President

The President leads the PIE team and helps build strong communication between families and the school.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and lead PIE meetings
  • Post updates and announcements on Bloomz and Facebook
  • Attend monthly PIE board meetings and monthly check-ins with the Trailside Director
  • Provide support and oversight for event committees
  • Write and send the monthly PIE newsletter
  • Keep the PIE website updated
  • Represent PIE at Back to School Night and help spread the word about what we do


Time Commitment: Approximately 6–8 hours per month
Currently Held by: Vanessa Mayer

Vice President of Operations

The VP of Operations helps keep everything organized and running smoothly behind the scenes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the liaison between PIE and the Mapleton Education Foundation (MEF)
  • Design marketing materials for events (flyers, banners, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Treasurer to develop and maintain the annual PIE budget
  • Represent PIE at Back to School Night
  • Attend monthly PIE board meetings and monthly check-ins with the Trailside Director


Time Commitment: Approximately 4–6 hours per month
Currently Held by: Amanda Bur

Vice President of Events

The VP of Events helps bring the fun! This role focuses on organizing fundraisers and community-building events that make Trailside special.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate restaurant nights and other fundraisers
  • Oversee event committees, including:
    ▸ Kinderwolf Welcome
    ▸ Fall Festival
    ▸ Movie Night
    ▸ Multicultural Night
    ▸ Spring Bash
    ▸ Sunshine
    ▸ Teacher Appreciation
  • Post event updates and reminders on Bloomz and Facebook
  • Work with the Treasurer to create and track event budgets


Time Commitment: Approximately 4–6 hours per month (varies depending on events)
Currently Held by: Kristen Prolic

Treasurer

The Treasurer manages PIE’s financial health and supports the team in planning and executing events within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of the overall PIE budget
  • Track expenses and process reimbursements
  • Provide regular budget updates and financial oversight
  • Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to ensure event budgets stay on track


Time Commitment: Approximately 2–4 hours per month
Currently Held by: Danielle Rolfe
