On Friday, September 29 at 4:00, students will run or walk a one-mile loop course starting and ending at Trailside. Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes (no weapons or face coverings) during the Fun Run and there will be trick-or-treat stations along the way. The route will be heavily supervised for safety. Family and other student supporters are welcome to join in the fun! Each student will collect flat amount donations from family and friends to support student activities throughout the school year. Students will win fun prizes for their participation.
Mapleton School District only allows one student-facing fundraiser per school per year so this is our one opportunity to raise funds for our students this year! Our goal is to raise a minimum of $15,000 to be used specifically for student field work, celebrations and to finalize our purchase of the Bloomz communication tool we’re using for family to school communications. Last year we were able to greatly exceed our goal, which allowed us to purchase supplemental EL texts for all units, send ALL grades on multiple field work excursions, provide student celebrations at school and host more community events at school and more! 100% of donations will be used to make Trailside an even better place for our kids to learn and grow.
Donations will be raised from September 15- September 29. Flat rate donations can be made in support of your student’s participation in the fun run in the form of check, cash or credit card. Cash and check donations can be collected and tracked in the provided envelope and online donations will be taken on the 99Pledges donation platform (see included instruction sheet to register your child). This platform is secure and free to use so our school receives 100% of the money donated (after credit card fees).
To collect pledges, simply ask your family and friends to make a flat donation for your student’s participation in the fun run by Oct. 7th. Please turn in cash/check donations with included with your child's pledge packet. You can also send your child’s 99Pledges page directly to friends and family via social media, email or text.
