On Friday, October 4 during the school day, students will participate in a Fun Run (or walk) around a lapped course starting and ending at Trailside. To make it easier for all students to participate in the run, this year students will complete the Fun Run during school hours. Even though we aren’t wearing costumes, there will still be trick-or-treat
stations along the way. Each student will collect flat amount donations (pledges) from family and friends to support student activities throughout the school year. Students will win fun prizes for their participation. Family and other student supporters are welcome to join in the fun! More information on race timing and details will be sent home closer to the event. On the evening October 4, we will all gather together to celebrate our community’s hard work at our annual Fall Festival from 5:00-7:00 at the school.
Mapleton School District only allows one student-facing fundraiser per school per year so this is our one opportunity to raise funds for our students this year! Our goal is to raise a minimum of $18,000 to be used specifically for student field work, to expand our after school programming, and student celebrations and school events. Last year we were able to greatly exceed our goal, which allowed us to send ALL grades on multiple field work excursions, provide student celebrations at school and host more community events at school and more! 100% of donations will be used to make Trailside an even better place for our kids to learn and grow.
Donations will be raised from September 20 - October 4th. Flat rate donations (pledges) can be made in support of your student’s participation in the fun run in the form of check, cash or credit card. Cash and check donations can be collected and tracked in the provided envelope and online donations will be taken on the 99Pledges donation platform (see included instruction sheet to register your child). This platform is secure and free to use so our school receives 100% of the money donated (after credit card fees).
